Monica Potter

Program Director

Potter begins her first season at Linfield after spending two and a half years as the director of lacrosse in Portland at Lacrosse Northwest. 

​

Prior to Lacrosse Northwest, the St. Louis, Mo. native spent eight seasons coaching women's lacrosse at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where she was the first women's lacrosse coach in program history. During her tenure with the Wolfpack, Potter coached one Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, one Defensive Player of the Year, and two First Team All-RMAC selections.

Potter also was the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Fort Lewis College for a season and spent two years as the head lacrosse and field hockey coach at Division III Fontbonne University. She guided the Griffins to winning seasons in both years at the helm. In addition to coaching, she also served as the assistant athletic director, NCAA compliance officer, and the senior women advisor for the Griffins.

Her coaching career kickstarted at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., in 2004 as the head women's lacrosse and field hockey coach before building the first lacrosse program at Adrian College in Michigan over two seasons. During her time at Lindenwood, she took a lacrosse program with a losing record to an undefeated season, claiming the Central Plains Division Championship.  

 

A graduate of Webster University in 2001, Potter earned a master's degree in Sports Management from Lindenwood in 2006.

Lindsay Newman

Director of Operations & Player Development

Lindsay Newman has been named the first women’s lacrosse coach for Lewis and Clark College in program history. She joins the team after four successful years as head coach at Linfield University, where she led the program to its first four winning seasons and multiple top conference finishes.

A veteran of program building, Newman was part of inaugural seasons at Whitman College and Asbury University. Prior to Linfield, she served as Oregon Director and Head Coach for the Tenacity Project, a national girls lacrosse development program.

 

Newman played collegiate lacrosse at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Kentucky. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kentucky and a master’s in sport coaching from the University of Denver. 

 

Lindsay currently resides in the Portland area with her husband and two kids.

Alyssa Dunlap

Founder 

Alyssa Dunlap is a former Division I student-athlete and a dedicated coach with a passion for developing players both on and off the field. A four-year starter and two-time captain at Vanderbilt University, she earned IWLCA All-West Region honors and was named to the All-American Lacrosse Conference First Team in 2014.

​

Following her collegiate career, Alyssa joined the coaching staff at Stanford University (2014–2016), working primarily with the defense under Head Coach Amy Bokker. During this time, she also served as Director of Treelax Lacrosse Club, a nationally competitive travel program founded by Bokker.

​

A standout in high school, Alyssa was a two-time First Team All-American and an Under Armour All-American during her senior year of high school.

​

She graduated from Vanderbilt in 2014 with a degree in Corporate Leadership.

​

Currently, Alyssa is the Co-Founder of Verve Lacrosse, a San Jose-based club focused on elite player development, and serves as the Head Coach at Archbishop Mitty High School. In 2025, she led Archbishop Mitty to its first-ever CCS Division II Championship, marking a historic milestone for the program.

​

Outside of lacrosse, Alyssa is an ultra-endurance athlete, having completed both 50-mile and 100K ultra marathons.
